This Unique Hour

There are so many moving parts to the purpose of God! I think of our little ministry here in Kansas City alone. There are so many pieces to the puzzle. God is orchestrating a masterpiece with so many colors and shapes. It is the most complicated thing when I look at all the angles we face yet when I back up a bit it seems so simple. We have a big world wall map in the back of our prayer room that I often look at. Its amazing to see the entire globe like that and see how all the oceans and land masses fit together to make up what we know as earth. If you go down into the details of the smallest nation there are so many details hidden that make up life there, let alone a massive nation that has a countless list of objects and points that make up the whole. Then you move into the parts that are impossible to put on a graph like all the thoughts emotions and actions that are carried by every life within that tiny town within a huge land mass.

I see our indescribable Father in heaven looking down on the realities of this planet and all its details like I am looking at this map we have on the wall. He knows the most minute jot and tittle with matchless detail and knows it all in the same moment. His attention to detail is so far beyond our ability to comprehend, it makes my mind bend!

We get to carry our piece of the puzzle knowing our Father in heaven is making it all fit perfectly together forming not only a masterpiece to stand back and admire but all the moving parts are known and put in perfect order.

Psalm 78 says "give ear O My people". Revelation 2 and 3 end each message to the churches with the question; he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. There is an unending cry in the written Word of the Lord; Earth, O earth, hear the word of the Lord. Hear O heavens, and give ear O earth. Give ear O heavens and hear O earth. The Mighty One, God the Lord has spoken. John 10:27 says: My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

As hard as it is to imagine in these weak broken vessels we role around in here on earth, the simple truth is that we have a God who misses nothing and our part is to listen, trust and obey. Incline your ear, direct your attentions into His loving intentions for us! The part we carry must come from faith: the tangible reality that directs our choice. This builds in us vision of how our seemingly insignificant piece of the puzzle fits perfectly into the eternal destiny God our Father has built for us. So many of life's challenges and things we tend to compromise in are seen in a completely different light when it is directly connected with our eternal destiny. It is a home He has created for us. "If this were not so I would have told you"! (John 14).

This unique hour we live is an hour where the God we know and love is building His body. The faith established in the hearts of the past generation has proven the righteous faithfulness of our God and this is being spoken into the lives of this next generation. A culture of truth in the knowledge of God is being raised in this generation. Hope is being set in hearts that is raising a confident determination to walk, stand, and sit in the place of truth, belief and obedience.

We will be a people who will not forget or ignore the glorious works of the Lord, and we will not hide them from our children and our children's children (Psalm 78). We will tell the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

The clear confusion of the ideas of man are turning this generation of son's and daughter's to see the wise leadership of the Holy Spirit and it is building confident faith and trust in Who He is and who we are in Him. Fathers carry history and practical wisdom of this leadership and son's carry the strength, will and determination to settle for nothing less than what they are invited into with their inheritance! Together the hearts of fathers are returning to sons and sons to fathers. We are returning to our Father in heaven together!

There is no other place we can turn that has the words of life! His beauty and faithfulness is capturing the hearts of a generation that is saying yes. The narrative of our Father in heaven is a story-line that is catching up a chosen people. His eternal intention to have a family, a bride for His Son is a glorious invitation that will not be sidetracked but will be realized. The narrative of this world is lost in the confusion of the wayward self desire of sinful mankind.

Lets ask the Holy Spirit in this unique hour to give us ears to hear and eyes to see the glorious destiny we and our children have in His eternal purpose. The veil between our physical life in the here and now and the eternal life we have before us is but a moment away. We can live with that eternity in mind today to give us strength to stand steady and steadfast in our indescribable inheritance. Let's listen, hear and respond today in what the Spirit is saying. It is a glorious masterpiece we are invited into.
