Our Forerunner Hour

Thought I would give a brief encouragement of the journey we find ourselves in. This culture and world we live in is almost beyond explanation to me. It is easy to be captured by the negative and "lack of" this day we live in. The righteousness we as believers reach for in Christ Jesus seems to be steamrolled by the unrighteous narrative of this age. If our hope was bound to this age we would have reason I guess to be deeply concerned. However John 14 says, "Let not your heart be troubled". If our heart is set securely in the un-shifting knowledge and understanding of our Father in heaven trouble has a completely different value. With that we remain with a high concern for our unsaved family and friends. Living bound in a life apart from the beauty of the Creator God and the hope of destiny He gives is so much less of what we were created for.

Our Father in heaven has an eternal purpose and desire that has not been delayed or sidetracked by the fall of man. He is in eternity past, the God of justice and mercy. He has not changed in this hour we live or will He change in eternity future. The momentary afflictions of this age of man should not loosen our grip on the truth of our hope and destiny.

Isa 59 is a great chapter that should give us hope to actually enter into. It says "He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him....when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him". There is a standard God has raised that we are able in this hour to enter into. As wickedness and unrighteousness continues to rise in this age of man we have a standard of Truth that we can step into. It is a standard that gives a confident perspective to rest in. He is the great intercessor!

Great and terrible is the day of the Lord! So much of life has the elements of greatness, a glorious reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. At the same time this glory is surrounded by terrible deceptive works of the devil and the flesh (life without God). Only to increase as the "Day of the Lord" approaches. We are a population of born again believers that are not bound to this age and all the lies and deceptions of the enemy. We believe in God the Father, believe also in Christ Jesus the Messiah.(John 14). The Author and Perfecter of our faith, our Hope of salvation!

He has brought salvation into life for those who would believe and step into the glorious hope of eternal life. It is the standard of life we were created for. Our walk in life is not to be in the futility of the mind, having our understanding darkened and alienated from the life of God. Our hearts have been awakened and not blinded by the narrative of men's ideas in this world.

This generation like none other is deeply troubled by deceitful lusts that bind lives to hopelessness of life without Truth. The angles of deception used by the father of lies in this hour are vast and almost beyond our ability to withstand! Thanks be to God our Father who through the Holy Spirit has opened our hearts and understanding to His eternal purpose and leads us to victory and triumph in Christ. We truly have it made! Nothing can separate us from this love! Only our deliberate choice can keep us from this glorious gift of salvation and life!

As we reach for righteousness in this unrighteous hour I urge us all to press the issue of living holy. As we provoke one another to love and good works we must be asking each other the right questions! It is more than preaching an inspiring sermon and then ignoring the sin and compromises in life. Are we walking according to the Spirit that has brought us to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus? Are the questions we ask of ourselves and those of our family and friends, exposing the compromising lies that defile us and keep us apart from the purpose of God? What can be greater than building an atmosphere of truth according to the faultless Word of God within our personal reach and the reach of our families and friends?

The righteous live by faith and do not shrink back from the destiny we are saved unto! Let's grow in this boundless faith together! Holy Spirit help us to grow in the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding! Father in heaven bless us all!
